Tree and Arboreal

I can assist with the felling of small and medium sized trees (for jobs larger than this I can recommend a very good local tree surgeon). Jobs such as the removal of overhanging branches or dead/dying branches and other maintenance including crown lifting, crown reductions, pollarding and coppicing are all areas I can assist with. If you are unsure about the exact measurements then just get in touch and I can discuss this with you in more detail.

• NPTC certified in Chainsaw usage and tree felling plus aerial rope work.

• Using modern, well maintained equipment.

• Fully insured with public liability insurance up to £5,000,000.

• Ecologically conscious disposal of all green waste. Typically this is chipped and donated to a local allotment.

• Use of the most ecologically conscious fuels available (Aspen) for all petrol machinery plus bio-oils for chainsaw lubricant.

• Considerate when using louder tools and efforts mades at all times to keep noise to a minimum.

• Chipping service also available.

Please be advised that in some cases trees may be protected by a Tree Preservation Order (TPO). Advice can be given on how to approach any such trees and ensure they are handled correctly but be advised that an application for a permit to carry out work on a tree subject to a Tree Preservation Order can take up to 8 weeks. The Oxford City Council website gives information about Tree Preservation Orders. This is further covered under the Terms and Condition page.

Hedges & Topiary

Pruning all types of hedges, shrubs, from barrier hedging to ornamental specimens.

• Careful and selective pruning using quality secateurs and shears.

• Hedge trimmers, pole saws and full size arborist ladders are available for larger jobs when required.

General Gardening Services

Seasonal Work

The demands throughout the year are varied and each have their challenges.

Green Waste

I am able to transport green waste from your premises (I hold a lower tier green waste license) but do need to charge for this removal. As a commercial trader I cannot dispose of this in the household waste dump and must use the (paid) commercial one. Building waste such as paving, fencing or soil will require a separate service.

Where possible, tree and wood waste can be chipped to a mulch and reused which is a great environmentally conscious method. I can supply a wood chipper if needed for larger jobs. Other options include skip hire or Hippobag skips.
